General Membership Meeting
April 5, 2019 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm in Council Chambers 2 - 100 University Hall
I am pleased to announce, on behalf of Executive, that the AASUA’s Negotiations Team and the University’s Board of Governors have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on a new collective agreement, subject to a ratification vote by our members.
As well, I am pleased to announce that the parties have also signed a Memorandum of Agreement regarding Gender Pay Equity, subject to a concurrent but separate ratification vote by our members.
In its meeting today, Executive unanimously endorsed the two MOA’s.
You are invited to attend an informational General Meeting for AASUA members tomorrow April 5, 2019 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm in Council Chambers 2 - 100 University Hall, where I will present the two MOA’s. The two agreements will be summarized by our Lead Negotiator. Members may pose questions to the Negotiations Team, as well as members of Executive. At the meeting, members need to sign in so please bring ID.
The ratification voting period shall open at 9:00 am April 9, 2019 and shall close at noon on April 15, 2019. Members shall receive voting instructions when voting opens.
