Today was my last day as AASUA President. I want to thank AASUA Executive members, Council members, the AASUA Executive Director and the Office Staff for all their efforts and contributions during my time in office. I also want to thank AASUA members for what you do to make this University what it is. The last two years were filled with some expected and also entirely unexpected challenges, with some of these continuing as we move forward. COVID-19 and unprecedented budget cuts are particularly daunting, requiring our shared and concerted effort, with continued roles for AASUA to represent our members at various steps along the way, strengthened by membership solidarity. Ricardo Acuña takes over as AASUA President tomorrow and I wish him the best in his new role. It has been an honour and a pleasure to work for you, and with you, these past two years.
