Dear AASUA members,
Our current collective agreement expires on June 30, 2020. The next round of bargaining with the employer will commence in the New Year. In preparation for the next round of bargaining, the Directors of each of the seven constituencies has sought input regarding bargaining priorities from members through surveys and constituency member meetings. Using this information, the Bargaining Planning Committee assisted Executive in developing the Association’s bargaining priorities. Council approved these bargaining priorities after recommendation by the Executive. Any questions can be addressed to respective constituency Directors.
In accordance with AASUA Bylaws, the AASUA Executive is now tasked with establishing the bargaining mandate to be given to the AASUA’s Negotiating Team. This process is underway and is informed by the prior round of bargaining, current constituency bargaining priorities, and input by AASUA Council.
I want to thank all AASUA members who contributed to this process. It will inform this coming round of negotiations.
