I am pleased to announce the Election results for the AASUA's Nominee to the Board of Governors (U of A) which may be reviewed on the Elections 2018 webpage here.
Congratulations to the successful candidate and thank you to everyone who participated in the election, both as a candidate and voter.
This is a call out to AASUA members to serve as committee members on the Job Action Committee.
This is NOT a strike message. The AASUA is simply doing its due diligence to ensure this committee is fully prepared in the event negotiations with the Board of Governors reach impasse.

The Association shall elect its Nominee for its academic staff representative to the Board of Governors (UofA) for a three-year term, in balloting of all members of the Association. The Minister of Advanced Education appoints the nominee to the Board.
All members shall receive a ballot.

The Association is seeking a member to serve as the Nominee on the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta.
Two members of the academic staff of the university, one of whom is nominated by the general faculties council and one of whom is nominated by the academic staff association, serve on the Board of Governors (Post-Secondary Learning Act, 2003 16(3)(iii).
