Both University of Alberta unions, NASA and AASUA, have now begun their respective collective bargaining rounds with the Employer. Despite differences in our work and bargaining priorities, both unions and their members can benefit greatly from supporting and standing in solidarity with one another as we both work to get the contracts we deserve.
In order to continue building solidarity between NASA and AASUA, we’ll be hosting our second event of the year at the University Club on Tuesday, March 19. Members of both unions are invited to an informal after-work drop in event that will provide a chance to get to know your colleagues and participate in conversations and activities centred around building solidarity between our two unions. There will be opportunities to provide input on ways to support negotiations, as well as time to unwind with new and old friends.
We invite you to drop in after you’re done with your work day and stay as long as you want. The event will have free refreshments, snacks, and a cash bar will be available.
