April 2023:
We’ve kicked off both Step 1 and 2: a Lead Negotiator has been announced, team members will soon be selected, and constituencies are currently engaging their members to determine bargaining priorities. You may have already completed a survey by giving input on what you would like to see in the coming round of bargaining, or voted at a constituency meeting on bargaining priorities.

Once all constituencies and the Association’s bargaining priorities have been approved, and the negotiations team is selected in June, the Association will continue to scale up its measures for job action preparedness. These preparations will continue as the Bargaining Planning Committee (composed of all Constituency Directors and Executive-appointed resource people) works to refine the Association’s bargaining priorities (Step 4). This will then lead to Executive issuing the Mandate to the Negotiations Team (Step 5), and bargaining (Step 6).
