Your Constituency Groups

A constituency is a group of employees designated by the Governors of the University of Alberta who are represented by the AASUA as their bargaining agent. The employer appoints academic staff members to one of seven constituency groups, each group having its own terms and conditions of employment, under the collective agreement. A “Letter of Appointment” states which constituency group a member belongs to.

Member Resources

Here members can find information about their benefits or pensions. As well, members can access preferred group rates for home and auto insurance through the AASUA benefits program with MARSH. Members who require union representation regarding a potential grievance, or when they are facing potential discipline, should contact an AASUA Labour Relations Officer (LRO).
